Everyone has received a virtual gift off of Facebook one time or another right?  Yeah we thought it was funny but never could really do anything with it.  Bartab is a new application (available on iPhone and Android) that will allow you to send your friends virtual drink that they can then redeem at local bars.  This is only working for participating bars in the Los Angeles, New York City, and San Francisco currently.  The Facebook user can purchase tickets at $1 a piece and then send them to a friend using the Bartab app.  This will allow the redeemer to cash it in and get their drink on.  The bars that are participating in this do have control over the drink list that is involved so still giving them control.  This should provide extra traffic for these bars as people will be receiving their gift and want to check it out.  So no more virtual sheep, send someone you care about and if your out of Facebook friends be sure and hit our page and send the drinks on over.
