Last week we reported on a story on the news about  a Texas man that his Droid 2 explode next to his head causing injury. PCMag has reported today that a undisclosed Motorola Rep has said the phone was most likely dropped. When dropped cracked the fellas screen, then when put to his ear cut his ear. This does not explain where the popping noise he heard came from, but would explain why the phone still works.

The undisclosed Moto rep also said to PCMag that the only thing in the phone that would have exploded would have caused the phone not to work anymore. And it still is. We called a bluff on this as we posted it but still no official statement from Motorola has been released. Stay tuned for more. What do you think happened? Sound off in the comments section.
