Heavy Rain In my opinion is among the top 3 Ps3 games of all time. I feel it’s dangerously close to even being my number one game on the system. The game was inventive, unique and had a fantastic story. This is a really interesting story to me and I’m sure to anyone else who enjoyed or is considering playing the Quantic Dream game.

Did you know that the average percentage of completion for a game is only 20-25%. That means when a new game comes out roughly only 25% of people actually beat it.  That seems like a startlingly low number to me and when I read I made sure to go back and read the line again just to make sure I wasn’t mistaken. I’m one of those gamers that unless the game is absolutely awful I beat it. I try to beat every game I play it’s just who I am.

So if that low number is shocking to you it may be even more shocking to find out that the percentage of people who beat Heavy Rain was higher. Much higher in fact. As it turns out the percentage of people who beat Heavy Rain was a shocking 72% of people. That just speaks volumes about the games story and how you could essentially create your own version of the story. It speaks volumes about how captivating the game was no matter what choices you made. I’ve beaten it several time trying to get a new story every time and I can honestly say every story is very different in it’s own way and very great in it’s own way as well.

To help further put this in to perspective before this one of if not the highest percentage of completion for a game was Mass Effect 2 with a respectable 50% competition rate. Heavy Rate didn’t simply beat it , but it shattered that number. Yet Mass Effect 2 overall was rated higher than Heavy Rain by most reviewers (thought not by much). So you can’t help, but wonder what was it exactly that made Heavy Rain so beatable? I know I couldn’t put the game down. I beat it for the first time the very day I first put it in my Ps3 i started early in the morning and played through the entire day not breaking for anything other than to make a mens room trip.  So what about Heavy Rain made everyone want to beat it so badly?
