Rockstar Shows L.A. Noire Love With Bucket of DLC.

Rockstar Games announced the release of six pieces of previously pre-order only downloadable content for L.A. Noire as well the new Rockstar Pass. Included in the plethora of goodies is two current cases, two new detective suits, a new weapon and a new challenge pack. Also announced were two future cases for the upcoming months. What is all this wonderful digital crack and how much will it cost you? Read on to find out.
The Naked City – Previously available as a pre-order bonus for GameStop customers, this Vice case has Phelps and his partner investigating the death of a beautiful young model. Was it suicide or foul play? It’s up to you find out. 320 Microsoft Points/$4.
A Slip of the Tongue – Another pre-order bonus, this time from Wal-Mart. A new Traffic case puts Cole and Bekowsky on the heels of a car theft racket. Starting with a stolen car, the detectives will pursue the thieves across Los Angeles and the state. 320 Microsoft Points/$4.
The Broderick Detective Suit – These smooth threads will boost Detective Phelps’ melee power and increase the amount of damage he can withstand. 80 Microsoft Points/$1.
The Sharpshooter Detective Suit – Become a deadeye killing machine with this new suit. It will enhance Phelps’ aim with rifles and pistols to take down criminal scum with precision. It can be found in the trunk of Phelps’ car throughout the game. 80 Microsoft Points/$1.
The Chicago Piano – The automatic rifle of choice for seasoned detectives and career criminals alike, it took a 45 cartridge and was more reliable than crime on a Friday night. The best price, Free!
The Badge Pursuit Challenge – Race around Los Angeles to track down 20 hidden police badges to unlock the Button Man Detective Suit. The stylish suit will increase ammo capacity for all of Phelps’s guns. Each badge will also provide 5 XP each to help increase Cole’s rank. 160 Microsoft Points/$2.
The best part of this announcement is the Rockstar Pass. Not to be confused with Online Passes, this purchased privilege unlocks all of the above DLC for one low price. Until June 14th, gamers can purchase the Pass for 800 Microsoft Points/$10 and after that for 960 Microsoft Points/$12. Purchase it now to save 50% on the content if bought separately. The pass also unlocks the upcoming Nicholson Electroplating Arson Case and Reefer Madness Arson Case for free when they are released in June and July, respectively.
