The Dark Knight has sure gotten a lot of fanfare as of late. With The Dark Knight Rises official trailer being recently released as well as the official villain of the film, Bane, showing off what he will look like in the film, Batman sure is getting people excited about his latest ventures.  Batman’s latest excitement is caused of course by the latest film, The Dark Knight Rises, being released next summer as well as the latest video game, Batman: Arkham City, releasing October this year.  With Bane and Catwoman being the villains in the film, in Arkham City, there is an entire army of big name villains to go up against the Caped Crusader.  With that being said though, let’s focus on one villain, that being Bane.  One project will put up the giant against Batman, but the other will put Bane actually helping Batman (yes you heard that right). 

It was released earlier today by Go Nintendo, Bane will aid Batman’s quest in Batman: Arkham City.  During various side missions, the gamer will see Bane kick some henchmen butt as he and Batman try to find shipments of what makes Bane actually Bane, his medicine called Venom.  During these missions Bane will actually help Batman get from point A to point B.  Gamers will not be able to play as Bane, but it will be cool to see him be a “hero” for a change.  This will be a very interesting change to the Bane character as any Batman comic fan knows, Bane is the one that actually breaks Bruce Wayne’s back and almost kills him.  Will this be the same story line that Christopher Nolan will take in TDKR, I guess time will tell.

Now, Bane vs. Batman. As earlier posts here at DHTG.com have shown, we already know what Bane’s character will look like.  Now we get to see still photos and video as Batman and Bane go head to head in the film. The video was taken on location in Pittsburgh to represent Gotham City Hall. As you can see in the film, it kind of looks like an entire army is battling Gothamites here, could this be the re-asurgents of the League of Shadows.  As the months go by, I am sure more leaked info will be coming out and this will only make the anticipation for the film to only increase.

Being a huge Batman fan, I am so psyched to see both of these story lines coming to film and video game fans.  It is pretty safe to say that I will be at the midnight release of both the film and game and I bet I am not the only one.
