Samsung’s Galaxy S II line has been hotly anticipated by mobile fans and tech geeks for a while now. Samsung is set to pop the covers off the new phones on August 29th but Verizon will not be sitting at the table. Yep, AT&T, Sprint and T-Mobile will have their own shiny Galaxy S II handsets while Verizon will be acquiring a different device. A device nearly identical to the Galaxy S II but not a Galaxy S II. Rumors are it could be a new DROID, like Samsung’s Droid Charge or something else entirely. The other rumor is that one of the other carriers will give their device a unique name while the other two will keep the Galaxy S II name.
Samsung’s successor to the very popular Galaxy S line is beefing up the specs and fixing a few of the problems from the previous version. Rocking a dual core processor and a lighter, thinner form, this phone is set to sell in the millions. Good thing they kept the Super Amoled screen and included an LED flash.
