Sony is ready to change things around with their new Sony Entertainment Network. Introduced at the IFA Tradeshow in Berlin, SEN is Sony’s way of blending their entertainment options into one cohesive service. Utilizing a PSN account, users will find changes to the Video on Demand and Qriocity services. Notably, they will be renamed to Video Unlimited and Music Unlimited.
The gelling of the various services under one umbrella allows Sony to start adding more content to each respective unit and gives them the opportunity to expand to previously inaccessible countries like Finland, Denmark and Norway. Sony hopes to have the Music Unlimited service running in those countries and more by the end of 2011. I’m glad Sony dropped that ridiculous Qriocity name, I was afraid they’d rename the PSN to Gamecracity or Videoply.
