The new Evoz baby monitor is something a little different from what one expects to find in the baby aisle at Walmart. The Wi-Fi-enabled device is packaged with a very smart solution set, allowing users to have the monitor contact them via text, email, or direct phone call when noise, specifically crying, is heard. iPhone users will also have the option to directly link with the device via an internet link and listen to audio realtime.
No word on whether any development will be made for other smartphone brands, but the device itself clones Apple‘s characteristic design pattern, giving the idea that this likely will remain an exclusive for Apple devotees. The monitor will start shipping in early October with an expected MSRP of $120. No word yet as to where the device will be retailed, aside from the manufacturer’s site.
