The FCC recently had a phone run through their hands that turns out to be the Samsung Galaxy S II HD. The model numbered SHV-E120L phone will rock the 4.65 inch 1280 x 720 resolution screen and a 1.5GHz dual core processor plus NFC. The handset will closely mirror the the upcoming Galaxy Nexus but will run Gingerbread and sport the TouchWiz overlay versus the Galaxy Nexus’s vanilla Ice Cream Sandwich.
There is a photo withholding period as requested by Samsung. That just means Sammy doesn’t want any photos leaking out for the next 180 days of their precious bundle of joy. Let’s hope we don’t have to wait quite that long to find out pricing and carrier details. Hopefully non-Verizon users will get this Galaxy Nexus clone in the near future.
