We all know that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 annihilated sales records, bring in more cash than a star-studded fundraiser. Biggest game ever and all that noise. The interesting thing is that Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim pulled in 231,593 RPG fans in 24 hours on Steam! Almost a quarter of a million Dragonborn slicing through the wilderness, terrorizing NPCs, crafting spells and the what not. Steam MW3 players on the other hand only pulled down a third of that, 78,161 FPS fans in the same first 24 hours. That’s a big difference in users, considering the PC used to be the home of the shooter.
Between Batman: Arkham City and now Skyrim showing such love from fans and critics alike, it’s heart warming to see single player epic games aren’t left in the multiplayer dust. Keep it that way, because some of us get sick of the forced multiplayer experience. Especially when it’s full of immature griefers. Just because it’s an awesome game, here’s that blood pumping trailer!
