Say what? PS Vita memory cards to run up to $120??

GamePro and GameStop are reporting the PlayStation Vita memory cards are gonna set handheld fanatics back up to $120! The smallest card at 4GB is set to run $29.99, the 8GB one will go for $44.99, 16GB will be $69.99 and the 32GB will set gamers back a whopping $119.99! The games themselves are expected to only cost $40, a third the cost of the 32GB card. Keep in mind the WiFi only Vita model will run $249. 99 at launch, making the largest memory bit pretty much half the price of the device. Put that into perspective, a WiFi unit and 32GB memory card will be 369.98!

The cards are basically a requirement to boot up certain Vita games and some will ONLY save to the memory cards. The system will allow for DLC and game downloads which will eat up precious storage space as well. Already the Vita is looking like too costly an endeavor for the mildly curious portable crowd and might end up being the PSP Go Part Deux. What do you geeks think about this? Is Sony going to bleed people dry or will this be the price early adopters pay? Sound off in the comments after the jump!
