Update: 2012- the year of the epic games

Update: Warner Bros. pushed Gotham City Imposters back to February, the only early January game on the list. Bummer!

So 2011 was a pretty good year for gaming, we had the likes of Skyrim, Modern Warfare 3, Uncharted 3 dominating the charts. But I think 2012 is going to equal it, if not better it, with it’s epic line up. So let’s look at the big releases of quarters 1 and 2 and see what 2012 has in store for all you gamers…

January

10th: Gotham City Imposters

31st: Final Fantasy XIII-2

31st: Neverdead- Remember that one? With the headless guy?

31st: Soulcalibur V

February

7th: The Darkness II

7th: Resident Evil Revelations

14th: Twisted Metal

21st: Syndicate

22nd: Uncharted Golden Abyss (Vita)

March

6th: Ghost Recon: Future Soldier

6th: Mass Effect 3

6th: Street Fighter X Tekken

11th: Mario Party 9

20th: Resident Evil: Racoon City

April

3rd: Devil May Cry HD Collection

24th: Prototype 2

June

30th: Borderlands 2

So that’s it for games which we actually have a date for, but there are a whole host of games which we still have no idea when they are hitting the shelves:

The Last of Us; Grand Theft Auto V; Alan Wake (on PC, to be released some time in Q1); BioShock Infinite; Diablo III; Counter Strike Global Offensive; Dota 2; Tomb Raider; Metro: Last Light

The list goes on and on, and I for one am very excited for some of these release. What are you looking forward to? Sound off in comments!
