Here we go once more. Sony has the PSN down for maintenance, this time until possibly 3 a.m. Eastern time. The “scheduled maintenance” kick started early this morning around 9 a.m. and is going to affect the PS Store, the Music Unlimited, Video Unlimited, Account Maintenance and Registration. Same things that were affected last time, that last period that happened just a couple weeks. Online play is slated to still run for those that were up bright and early fragging fools. I know it isn’t affecting Netflix streaming, I’ve been watching Chappelle’s Show in the background for awhile now.
What is Sony working on? Two extended periods of downtime for “maintenance” in less than a month? Really haven’t seen anything different, downloads are just as slow as ever. Sony hasn’t divulged any info other than it is a scheduled outage. Any geeks notice anything? If so, let us know!

Little on the pessimist side there, LoganDX. Yes, it’s down. You make it sound like Sony is shutting down their systems just to annoy the players. Working on secret ways to piss us off. With the breach in security they had last year, if they want to try and keep things a bit tighter by being offline once and awhile, that’s quite okay. No, two whole times within a month is still once and awhile. Besides, they gave plenty of warning and, if it weren’t for PSN downtime, I’d never play my Xbox.
