Happy endings ruined for YouPorn subscribers!

One of the unspoken rules of the internet is that it must have a plethora of porn to appease even the most jaded of web surfers. The volumes of content available rivals the amount of cat pictures plastered on social networks. Plenty of scams, viruses, break-ups and awkward encounters have been the result of the easy access granted to keyboard jockeys world round.

As the shock of internet filth wore off and became slightly more “accepted”, the ways we you perverts viewed smut became more varied. Combined with broadband internet, sexy time videos hit their stride and became the preferred standard of stimulation. This gave birth to sites like YouPorn. Curious peeps can slip in, spend a little bit of alone time and then pop off. There are limits to how long anonymous smut chasers can flip through the multitudes of user submitted clips. Hard-core hard-core lovers needed to sign-up for a paid membership to YP for extended sessions of research. It certainly was a tempting idea as YP has over 4.75 million registered users. And a whole bunch of them might find their log-in info smeared on the internet.

Hackers? Not this time actually. A separate service available to users is YP Chat, which is exactly what you think it is. The chat was managed by another party aside from the main YouPorn site. Well that party got a bit sloppy with how they handled the info for the lonely hearts signing in. All that info was left unencrypted on an unsecured server, open for ripe plucking. And plucked it was. The info has reportedly been showing itself to anybody willing to look at it. More after the break…

The powers at YouPorn state that this in no way allows unfettered access to the main site. However, human nature shows that many of the folks using both services most certainly used shared passwords and log ins. Yeah, they sounds like a real good idea, doesn’t it? YP has shut down the ability to start-up the chats  and severed the server until the security holes have been plugged up. If you belong to the site, I suggest you jump over and change all your passwords. Better safe than sorry.

How long till the incessant memes start clogging our news feeds?
