Many rumors have surrounded the next installment of the iPhone however according to iDownloadBlog code strings within iOS 5.1 show it will definitely feature 4G LTE connectivity. The new iOS code states that “enabling 4G will end your phone call, are you sure you want to enable 4G”. Since you cannot make phone calls on an iPad it’s obviously an iPhone warning or at least Apple is testing an LTE enabled phone. The next iPhone is also expected to feature a faster processor, larger display, a unibody aluminum case, as well as a possible overhaul of the antennae system.
The iPhone 5 or whatever Apple decides to call it is also rumored to have a fall release. Personally I’m hoping for a summer release as my iPhone 4 has seen better days and I’m resisting the temptation to upgrade to 4S. So geeks, what features would you like the next iPhone to have?
