HTC One X is HTC EVO 4G LTE. More inside!

There it is folks, Sprint and HTC have dropped the moniker we were expecting and brought in a newer, sleeker name – EVO 4G LTE. Built from aluminum space frame, the lightweight but well built phone is meant to be pleasing to the eye. Focus is definitely on design. The back will sport a red band and they’re bringing back the kick stand! Will have Sense 4.0 and Android 4.0.

The 8 mega pixel camera will have a dedicated hard camera button for that real camera feel. Rocks auto focus and will have super speed start up time. Will have an HDR mode and let in 44% more light. The flash will be a smart flash, strength of light will be set according to the distance from the object. Can shoot video and grab a quick still with the simple press of a button.

As expected, Beats Audio is a full experience, allowing users to grab music from their PCs even with iTunes. HDMI capabilities will have owners hooking their phones up to their tvs for video playback. EVO 4G LTE will have a car mode that blasts your music through the car speakers, nice for those who like to jam to the tunes.

HD Voice will combine network enhancements with new hardware tech, dual mics, to drown out background noise. Calls will be a richer, fuller affair. HTC used Kiefer Sutherland to demonstrate it!

Pre-orders will start on May 7th for a tentative release in the second quarter. Pricing will run $199, presumably for new, 2 year contracts.
