Ready to use your own voice to power your Dragonborn’s Thu’um? Now that Bethesda has worked out most of the glitchy kinks in Skyrim, it’s time to start adding on. First on the agenda is adding Kinect support to the game. The obvious benefit is a Thu’umMic like feature, one where you can literally call out the magic of your innate skills. Instead of holding down a button, players now say (scream) the words necessary for precise pummeling of baddies. Definitely adds to the immersion factor!
Besides the power of the shout, the other commands involve seamless equipping of weapons, hot keying of spells or weapons, or making followers doing your bidding without opening up the dialogue menu. All told, Bethesda is applying over 200 commands in the new update. One of my favorites will open the map for you and allow you to slide right over to any location on it. Makes it very handy if you’ve locating a serious amount of areas.
The developer hasn’t given a hard release date for the update, just the usual vague “Stay Tuned”. Once we know for sure, we will let you know. Hit the break to peep the promo video Bethesda tossed our way, it’s pretty enlightening and awesome.
