We know that EA is rebooting Maxis‘s SimCity but it looks as if they could be also be readying a new chapter to the series. Last week a trademark for SimOcean was discovered by Siliconera. It’s not known if this is a title in development or a possible precautionary move to prevent anyone else from using the name. Given that Maxis has produced a bunch of Sim titles in the past, it’s not hard to believe that SimOcean is a possibility. Past titles have included SimCopter, SimEarth and SimAnt so why not a Sim of Ocean life?
The Sims franchise has been one of the most successful franchises to date and has surpassed more than 100 million units sold. So geeks, would you be interested in SimOcean? I’ve personally logged many hours into the Sims but have moved away from the series, however if I could control a Sim shark, I might be willing to give the franchise another try.
