Zombies Are Coming! Stay Safe In These Zombie Proof Abodes

The time has come upon us to start preparing for the zombie apocalypse. While playing video games like Left 4 Dead and watching AMC’s The Walking Dead will greatly help your chances of survival it might be time to get a bit more serious since zombies have recently been spotted in Florida. Here at Don’t Hate The Geek we’d like to help in getting you prepared for the inevitable zombie invasion by making you aware of some recent houses on the market that are zombie proof.

Miami, FL. Architect Charles Sieger designed this mansion that was featured in one of Birdman’s videos. It’s surrounded by a moat and only has one point of entry making zombie penetration quite difficult. This could be yours for only $10.9 million and i, as well as more, can be found after the break…

Saranac, NY. Here we have a  nuclear missile silo converted into a house. At $750,000 this converted nuclear missile silo is a deal. It will keep you safe and sound from zombies as well as nuclear attacks. Not only does it boast a paved air strip it’s launch control center is hidden behind 3 inch concrete and mesh and 125 feet under ground.

Los Angeles, CA. This mansion was the brainchild of AI V. Corbi who founded SAFE (Stategically Armored & Fortified Environments). Complete with two panic rooms and “safe cores”  a nifty little feature that prompts all bedrooms to lockdown by turning a doorknob. It could be yours for $5.9 million.

Marathon FL. For $12 million you can have your own island that is equipped with wind turbines and solar panels. Should you need a fast escape there’s a dock and helicopter pad, (helicopter not included).

Eureka Springs AR. This castle is secluded in the mountains and is going for $1.2 million It’s large enough to provide a safe haven for all your friends and family. It features many tall structures including 2 guard towers perfect for sniping.

Austin, TX. $5.2 million will get you this super strong fortress featuring concrete facade and a rooftop deck perfect practicing those headshots. Should the zombies somehow get through fear not, there’s a 200 foot wide wood and steel escape home leading from the main house to a boathouse on the lake.

Cedar Key FL. This house has missile proof windows, double lock ships doors and siding made of galvalume and  is clearly a steal for only $695,000

Carmel Valley, CA. This is the ultimate in anti-zombie fortresses. It’s a former space communications satellite that was used during the Kennedy administration. I can’t help it but this whole scenario reminds me of something out of Black Ops. For $3 million you will get some outdated tech, 97 foot satellite, helipad and power generators. In your spare time perhaps you can rebuild it and try to make contact with aliens. If not there’s always a gym to help build your strength.

Is is a coincidence that three of these houses are located in Florida? We think not. So geeks how are you preparing for the zombie invasion?
