Bioware bringing new single player DLC and weapons to Mass Effect 3.

Now that we’ve gotten a chance to deal with the ending of Mass Effect 3, Bioware is tossing out the first real bit of  single player downloadable content. Set during the main story (obviously), the add-on tasks Shepard and crew with finding an ancient weapon capable of destroying a Reaper – the Leviathan. The quest will take players through new, uncharted systems including Citadel areas and unlock new weapons like the AT-12 shotgun M-55 Argus assault rifle.

Something lurks in the dark corners of space, something powerful enough to kill a Reaper. Shepard must discover the most closely guarded secret in the galaxy before the Reapers silence it forever. Discover more about the origins of the Reapers as you race across the galaxy to find the Leviathan. Unravel the dark history of the Reaper Race before it is too late. Coming later this summer there is no war, only the harvest.

The DLC will drop for the Xbox 360 and PS3 for the low cost of 800 Microsoft Points or $10.

More weapons are also on the way with the Firefight Pack. Hitting Xbox 360 and PS3 for a trivial $2 or 160 Microsoft Points, gamers get seven as of yet unannounced weapons to slaughter foes. Bioware states two of them will pack a hefty punch and the others will be bonus weapons. Not sure what exactly that entails but I’m all for more single player stuff instead of the multiplayer add ons! Couple more pics after the break, check them out geeks.
