Le Journal De Gamer has reported that a source of theirs, who works close with Valve, has leaked some interesting information about Half Life 3. According to this anonymous source Half Life 3 is well under way and will launch some time after 2013. More interestingly thought the source that the game will keep the traditional FPS elements but will also incorporate RPG elements: “open-world, quests and NPCs will be waiting for you!” says the French website. Unsuprisngly though this source told the site that development of the game has been “very chaotic”.
Depending on your scepticism , you may be utterly thrilled by this news, that somewhere someone is slowly pouring over Half Life 3, equally though this could be one more rumour thrown on top of the ever growing pile that surround this game- of which none have yet to appear to be true. Sadly though this informant has given us very little concrete information to go on. There is no information about what platforms it will release on and even though we have a vague release window of “after 2013″ that could range from 2014 to to any time in the distant future. Is there still hope for a Gordon Freeman return or Half Life 3 is rapidly becoming the new Duke Nukem Forever? [OXM]
