If you like to access Siri without unlocking your iPhone from the pass code lock status you might fall victim to social network shenanigans. Siri on a iOS 6 device still let’s you update things like your Facebook or Twitter statuses without having to unlock the pass code. This could lead to potential embarrassing status updates by your prankster friends.
I’ve been on both sides of the social status updates pranking and it is one of the main reasons I lock my phone but fear not there is a way to stop the embarrassment before it happens. You can disable Siri from the pass code lock menu in settings however you will have to unlock your phone each time that you want to use Siri. I’d rather be inconvenienced by having to unlock my phone than embarrassed from my friend’s status bombing of my social networks!
It should be noted that this feature is not a vulnerable security breach just an abuse of a convenient way to access Siri.
