Your eyes do not deceive you friends, Nintendo announced they’ll be giving 500 lucky fans the chance to play Legend of Zelda on Wii U a whole year early (or less depending on how you look at the postponed timeline)!
This almost week long event is set to begin June 11th with a “Super-Fan Signup Day” in which the first 500 people in line at the Nintendo NY store in Rockefeller Plaza will be given wristbands for entrance into the event from the 14th through the 19th.
On the 14th Nintendo is then planning on giving these fortunate folks a first look at the game via live stream gameplay from E3 in LA. Then in the following days, according to a press release from Nintendo to Business Wire;
From June 15 to June 19, Nintendo experts will also be giving guided game-play demonstrations on the big screen for everyone to watch and enjoy. Several fans may even get the chance to participate in guided demonstrations. There will also be The Legend of Zelda trivia for a chance for fans to win fun prizes.
If you’re in the NY area and you’d like a once in a life time opportunity to be one of the first in the world to play Legend of Zelda on Wii U, here’s your chance! For the rest of us, we’ll just have to settle for seeing second hand gameplay after the fact.
Are you as psyched as I am or are you planning to attend the event? Also, what do you think about the coming release (June 30th) of a Legend of Zelda trading card set? Let us know!
