Minecraft modder by the name of Killerx20 has completed and released his massive recreation of Final Fantasy VII’s Midgar. Since early 2012, he began to build this extremely detailed masterpiece with help. This place is quite large using 1290×1290 blocks according to Killerx20. The map, which is pretty inclusive and contains all of that from FFVII’s Sector 7 to the SOLDIER office in Crisis Core, is now available for download. You can find it here.

Killerx20 writes,

“As a lot are probably wondering, yes, more then 85% of this build WAS indeed hand placed.  The only things that were not are the outer plates, tower, and reactors BUT that doesn’t mean they were completed when imported, they were basically detail-less empty shells and I wanted it that way so everything on/inside them had to be hand placed for optimal detail.

How amazing. What do you geeks think? Thinking about downloading it and exploring it yourself? Let us know in the comments below! Before you do, enjoy some awesome screen shots of this truly captivating build.
