Many of us Geeks who grew up in the 90’s know who the Mighty Morphing Power Rangers are. We practically grew up with these teenage superstars who played high-flying ninjas who had all sorts of futuristic out of this mind (and Galaxy) weaponry. They also rode gigantic beast vehicles that would transform into one gigantic Power Ranger when enormous monsters the size of buildings would come to destroy the world. Good times…..good times indeed!
Well one of our most favorite and beloved Power rangers came out into the public in Toronto to pay up on a pretty funny bet. Amy Jo Johnson the original Pink Power Ranger (Kimberly Heart) made a rare public appearance in the streets of Toronto and began to have an impromptu concert for passers-by! At one point she was even joined in by another man just walking around dressed as The Dark Knight! Geek hilarity if you ask me but still very cool to see Amy wearing a Pink Ranger Outfit. But how did this all happen?
Well since Amy has finished her work on Flashpoint, the former teen star has started to make short-films in order to get ready to direct her first feature. Now with a new project “The Space Between”, Amy has spent the last few weeks campaigning fans for funding along with help from two of her fellow Rangers, Jason David Frank the Green Ranger (Tommy) and David Yost The Blue Ranger (Billy). Both male Rangers issued a challenge to their fellow Ranger. David, took it to another level by betting Amy to have to sing in public wearing the pink outfit “If” her funding was met. Well it looks like Amy got the funding needed with plenty of days to spare and then graciously took to the streets of Toronto to pay up her debt. By the looks of the pictures taken by Marc Levy, Amy looks to have had a BLAST paying up the bet anyways!
Kudos Amy Jo Johnson and thanks for bringing back the memories!!
