Marvel Studios just released the trailer for Ant-Man and the Wasp and it’s spectacular. Don’t believe me? See for yourself below!
The follow up to 2015’s Ant-Man seems to possess a lot of the qualities that made the original a much-beloved movie. Paul Rudd’s return as Scott Lang seems to balance perfectly between his comedic persona and the action hero. The rest of the cast are always on their toes for that quick comeback, picking up from where they left us back in 2015.
The story treads on a similar path to its predecessor, with Lang struggling with his personal life while embracing his role as a superhero.
The action sequences seem to have reached a new level of epicness, particularity the scene where the Wasp is running on the side of a flying knife, well let’s just say they don’t get better than that as far as creativeness is concerned.
Last but not least, every superhero movie needs a villain and man have they brought in the big guns with Laurence Fishburne, yes Morpheus himself, seems to be the bad guy to our good guy duo. Although not much is given out as to his identity in the trailer, his presence alone is enough to get me excited. According to IMDb, he’s set to play Dr. Bill Foster aka Goliath.
Ant-Man and the Wasp is set to be released on July 6 later this year.
Ant-Man grossed almost $520 million worldwide and gave us a new comedic perspective in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. This experiment was obviously deemed successful and carried on to later projects and was especially evident in Thor: Ragnarok.
