On the set of Aquaman:
We’ve already seen news that pre-production has begun on DC’s Aquaman. Now it seems that the stunt performers are prepping for the film’s more grueling scenes, both by land and by sea.
Keir Beck, the stunt coordinator for Aquaman, had this to say in an interview with 9news:
“General stunt skills, fighting, y’know if there is water sequences, obviously being capable and competent in water.”
Aquaman is expected to start filming at Village Roadshow Studios in Queensland, Australia.
Jason Momoa returns to the role of Arthur Curry/Aquaman as we’ve seen in Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice and the upcoming Justice League film. The film is slated to release October 5th, 2018 from Warner Brothers.
Arthur Curry learns that he is the heir to the underwater kingdom of Atlantis, and must step forward to lead his people and to be a hero to the world.
James Wan of Furious 7 and The Conjuring films will be directing and DC legend Geoff Johns is also helping write the screenplay.
Are you guys excited for Aquaman? I’m interested to see Momoa in action. Geoff Johns has helped bring credibility back to the character in recent years; I think Momoa will put it over the top and we won’t see Arthur as a “joke” hero anymore. We would love to hear what you think of the news, so join in on the conversation in the comments below and tell us what you think!
