Are we getting an Arkham Knight Game of the Year Edition?

written by Jon "BatPool" M May 29, 2016

A listing for Arkham Knight: Game of the Year Edition (GOTY) popped up on Germany’s Amazon site. The post claims that the game will be released on July 28 of this year, which is only two days after the release date of Return to Arkham, which is the HD remaster of Arkham Asylum and Arkham City.

Arkham Knight Game of the Year

If the listing is legitimate, (and follows suit to the previous Arkham GOTY releases) along with the game we will get all currently available downloadable content. That should include the Batgirl story and Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice Batmobile and skin packs., as well as a multitude of other character skins and challenges. The listing also suggests that the game will only be released on Xbox One and PS4 consoles. No PC re-release? (You can read about that mess here.)

No official announcement has been made by Warner Bros. yet concerning the possible release, but the Return to Arkham was “revealed” in the same manner by GameStop Italy. So it seems like July may be the month of the Bat, it’s the trilogy we deserve. Oficially, Batman: Return to Arkham will be released on July 26 on PS4 and Xbox One.

I always love the Game of the Year editions as a chance to get all of the DLC for a discounted price. Are you hoping the ad is legit? Will you be picking up the HD remasters or the GOTY edition (if it’s happening)? Let us know in the comments below.
