One of the great things about a shared universe is that sometimes you get some great crossovers. The DCTV universe has this practice down to a science. We even saw the entire DCTV heroes join up to fight an alien invasion. However, there is one crossover we have yet to see. And if Stephen Amell has anything to say about it, it may happen sooner than later.
During a panel at Heroes and Villains Fan Fest in Nashville, Amell answered which of the DCTV superheroes he would like to team with. While partial to Barry Allen, Amell sated “I would like to do some more work with Supergirl”. Amell’s Green Arrow and Melissa Benoist’s Supergirl met for the first time in last year’s Invasion crossover event. Green Arrow at first had a difficult time trusting Supergirl but warmed up to her by the end. Considering how similar in personality Supergirl is to The Flash, an Arrow/Supergirl crossover has the potential to be a lot of fun.
This past season had two amazing crossovers; the above mentioned Invasion crossover and The Flash/Supergirl musical. The producers for the shows have also talked about the next big crossover event for next year. While it is hard to top an alien invasion, the next crossover will have more of an emotional impact than previous years. Perhaps that is when we will see an Arrow/Supergirl team up. Supergirl always seems to be the most positive hero in the DCTV universe. It is possible that she could be the emotional glue between the heroes. With the DCTV shows doing fairly well and with so many characters popping up, it looks like we will be treated to many more crossovers in the future. It wouldn’t hurt to have another musical crossover too.
Sound off, geeks! Would you like to see an Arrow/Supergirl crossover episode? Let us know in the comments.
