The Assassin’s Creed movie has started production as revealed by the company’s CEO, Yves Guillemot. Ubisoft has made plans to release it on December 21, 2016.
According to The Nerdist, Guillemot said,
“We have the pleasure to announce today that the green light has been given by New Regency, and the production has already started… This is a very important milestone for the project and for our team on Assassin’s Creed.”
As stated, New Regency will be producing the movie, but 20th Century Fox will also be along for the ride in producing to help bring this movie to life. Michael Fassbender is said to play the cloaked assassin while other parts are still unannounced. Writers Scott Franks and Michael Leslie, however, will be producing the script for the project.
The big question now is, “What direction do the writers plan on taking this movie?” We wonder where the movie will start. Maybe it will take off from the most recent game — who knows?
What do you think, geeks? Should they make the movie following the story line of all of the games and continue to produce more based on each game or do you think they should come up with another original concept? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below!
