Bad news Flash fans, the script they were using was garbage

The Flash

DC Comics fans almost everywhere have been most excited to finally see the Scarlet Speedster on the big screen. Well, I have bad news guys. According to a report from Variety, the script for the Flash movie was so bad that they’re bringing in Jody Harold to rewrite the script. Harold might be best known for writing the upcoming King Arthur: Legend of the Sword.

If any of you are like me, you can gather that a page-one rewrite doesn’t sound good at all. Well, it isn’t good. It essentially means that the studio had zero confidence in the script that they were given, and the entire thing has to be rewritten from scratch.

This is bad news for anyone that’s been following the film. It has already lost two directors, and from the sounds of it, Ezra Miller isn’t too happy about the fact they can’t keep a creative team together for the project. Miller says he wants a director with “an open heart” and a “cheery disposition.”

I don’t know about you guys, but this sounds like a dream job for someone like Kevin Smith!

The film is SUPPOSED to release in March of 2018, but unless they can get this situation figured out, we’ll only be seeing this version of Flash in the Justice League movies.

What do you guys think of the news? Flash could very easily be this version of the DC Universe’s biggest draw to casual fans, and I think they need to get this bad situation figured out ASAP. Do you have any better ideas for a new director other than Kevin Smith? We’d love to hear your thoughts, so join in on the conversation in the comments below and tell us your ideas!
