written by Jordan Cobb June 8, 2016

Warner Bros. and DC Comics’ line of original animated films released on the home and digital video market with have proven very successful for them ever since the release of Superman: Doomsday back in 2007.

Whether they are based on a well-known storyline/book or a wholly original story, fans haven’t gotten enough of them. The latest release this summer will be the long awaited, R-rated adaptation of the very famous Batman story, The Killing Joke, which will first premiere at San Diego Comic-Con International this July.

Though if you aren’t able to be at SDCC this year, don’t worry, you’ll still actually have a chance to see The Killing Joke on the big screen.

Fathom Events, host of special movie, sports, and opera events broadcasted live in theaters, will host a one night theatrical screening of the upcoming film on Monday, July 25. The movie will play twice at 7:30 and 10:00 p.m. local time and feature a special introduction to the film from the Joker himself, Mark Hamill.

Tickets for the screenings will be on-sale starting June 17 and to get them and see if your or a nearby theater is participating in this event, go on over to Fathom Events official website for that and more information.

Batman: The Killing Joke will be released digitally a day after the screening on July 26 and on Blu-Ray and DVD on August 2.
