It was inevitable that someone had to move, whether it be Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice or Captain America 3. Neither could go head to head on the same weekend and it seems the first one to play chicken is WB as they jumped their date from the previously announced May 6, 2016 to March 25, 2016. There was just no way those two juggernauts could slug it out and fans win.

On top of the date change, WB also let loose 11 dates for their DC movies schedule. Well 9 are confirmed DC flicks with 2 being WB “events” so they could be anything but rumors suggest these dates and the “event” part signify the oft-mentioned Justice League movies that are begging to be made. The dates are as follows:

  • August 5, 2016 – DC
  • June 23, 2017 – DC
  • November 17, 2017 – DC
  • March 23, 2018 – DC
  • July 27, 2018 – DC
  • November 16, 2018 – WB Event
  • April 5, 2019 – DC
  • June 14, 2019 – DC
  • April 3, 2020 – DC
  • June 19, 2020 – DC
  • November 20, 2020 – WB Event

As you can see all the scheduled dates are just untitled DC movies but we should see at least a Wonder Woman movie with Gal Gadot. Rumors swirl that Dwayne Johnson will play Shazam, there’s a potential movie there but what about the rest? I can’t imagine WB doing another Batman flick after how well Christopher Nolan’s Dark Knight Trilogy was received.¬†Certainly there’s going to be a third Man of Steel in the mix. Maybe a Green Lantern reboot? How about they pull Stephen Amell in and do an Arrow movie? Maybe they’ll make Batman v Superman a two parter? Oh wouldn’t that chap the fanboys’ asses?

Sound off in the comments on what DC character you’d like to see get their own movie. Personally I say they finish what Nolan started in The Dark Knight Rises and do a right proper Nightwing movie.
