Do you love Batman? Do you love Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles? If you answered yes then this fall prepare yourself for what will probably be the greatest crossover in history. During San Diego Comic Con 2015, DC Entertainment and IDW Publishing announced a crossover mini-series with Batman/Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.
The team behind this glorious idea consists of James Tynion IV (Batman Eternal, The Woods) and artist Freddie E. Williams II (Robin, Captain Atom). Here is the short version of how these characters will meet:
In the ongoing power struggle between the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, General Krang, and the Foot Clan, allegiances have shifted and the battle lines have been drawn. Krang concocts a plan to rid himself of both the Turtles and Shredder by transporting them to another dimension, where they land in the dark and dangerous streets of Gotham City. It isn’t long before they encounter Gotham’s most famous resident, Batman. The Caped Crusader may be their only hope of overcoming their enemies and getting back home. But not before they encounter a whole cast of Gotham’s most infamous rogues.
The 6 part monthly mini-series will launch in November and if this wasn’t awesome enough co-creator of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Kevin Eastman, will be doing variant covers along with other to-be-announced artists.
My childhood has officially come back with a vengeance. Excuse me while I go geek out hard over this.
