Playstation 4 players are now able to experience the beta for Battleborn before everyone else. The beta went live on April 8th and is open to everyone, including non-Plus members.
For those awaiting their access that do not currently own a Playstation 4, the beta will go live for both Xbox One and PC gamers on April 13th and will end for all platforms on the 18th.
Batttleborn is the new team-based shooter from Gearbox, the developer behind favourites such as Borderlands and Half-Life. Check out the trailer to see more about the story behind Battleborn, its upgrade system, and meet some of the characters.
[youtube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dYILRya5Dgg]The beta test includes:
- Two story missions
- Two competitive multiplayer modes
- All available characters
- Exclusively for PS4: Beta includes the character Toby, the penguin sporting that sweet, sweet mechsuit.
There is a downside: any progress and characters unlocked during the beta’s progress will not carry over to the game’s full release.
There will be five more characters released in DLC form after launch but Playstation 4 players will have access to Alani, one of the additional characters, instantly instead of having to wait for the DLC release. PS4 players are also being treated to the first DLC pack free of charge. If you’ve played the beta and decided to partake in Season Pass-ey goodness, you will be given access to all characters immediately, no unlocking necessary.
