This game is hauntingly beautiful. From the co-developer of LittleBigPlanet, Tarsier Studios brings us Hunger. This strikingly detailed game will have you ready to play just from watching seconds of its trailer. Check it out!
It definitely gives us that same feeling as LittleBigPlanet however I can’t help but get that Tim Burton vibe. Hunger is an original game created by Tarsier and according to Polygon, Tarsier has said that it was the “spiritual successor” to City of Metronome which was reveled in 2005, but never released. It too holds true to the same type of feel we see in the Hunger teaser trailer.
In the game, Hunger, gamers will play as a character by the name of Six. Players will learn that they are playing for her escape from the world called The Maw.
Tarsier wrote more details about the game in its blog,
“At its heart, Hunger is a simple idea. A young girl is trapped in a labyrinth full of monsters and wants to escape. It will be your job to help her do this. It’s a genre we’re calling ‘suspense-adventure’, on account of the fact that there will be plenty of both. Coupled with an unnerving ‘Dollhouse Perspective’, tactile controls, and characters with soft, dark centers, Hunger will take your hand and let it go at the worst possible moment!”
Suspense is right! Just watching the trailer seeing those hands grabbing at Six freaks me out and then seeing her sneak past what looks to be butchers or chefs makes me wonder what would happen if she were to get caught.
Thrilled to see this game come out especially with its amazing atmosphere. What do you think geeks? Is this a game you would get your hands on? Let us know in the comments below!
