Black Flash is coming…
The last time we saw Zoom he was being hauled off by Time Wraiths on CW’s hit show The Flash. That won’t be the last time we see Hunter Zolomon, though. According to executive producer Andrew Kreisberg, we can expect Zoom to return as the Black Flash on multiple shows within CW’s Arrowverse.
“I will say that you might be seeing him on multiple shows. (Black Flash) is a classic character. We have story lines on multiple shows that fit having him around. There’s something so scary about him, something even scarier than when he was just the man, because now it’s now he is the Grim Reaper, he is the devil. How do you stop the devil? So it presents an interesting challenge for the heroes of the respective shows in which he appears.”
Kreisberg didn’t give any indication on when and where we can expect Black Flash to make his return, but you can bet he’s going to be causing all sorts of problems for Barry, Oliver, and the Legends of Tomorrow. (Maybe even Supergirl!)
While we’ll be seeing Black Flash, we may not be seeing the actor that originally played Zoom, Teddy Sears. Sears let it slip in an interview last month that his commitment to Fox’s 24: Legacy may prevent him from donning the Black Flash suit.
CW’s Flash returns on January 24th, 2017 on the CW network. It stars Grant Gustin as Barry Allen/The Flash.
