We see Ichigo Karosaki, our protagonist, cut through a Hollow with his badass sword, Zanpakuto. Then, we get that hero pose we all want with a great close-up of Ichigo’s face as flames roar behind him. I mean come on – how cool is that!
Bleach started out as a manga by created by Tite Kubo. The series launched into a multimedia empire, featuring a successful anime, animated films, musicals, and more merch than you can count. It’s one of the most successful manga in history, selling over 90 million copies.
Developement of the Bleach movie began in the fall of 2016. Tite Kubo stated that he was closely involved, to make sure it stayed true to the source material. The movie is set for a 2018 release in Japan, with Shinsuke Sato in the director’s chair and Sota Fukushi in the starring role.
