Blizzard’s new hit game Overwatch released May 24th of this year and the gaming giant has already taken to getting rid of the hackers and cheaters that have already plagued the game. There have been upwards of 1,500 members that have been banned in China alone, and posts have been made of hacking forums that Blizzard’s cheat detection is untrickable.
Even the Western half of the gaming world has met the no-nonsense wall that Blizzard has put in place against cheaters. Some of the accounts of said hackers have stated that even after re-purchasing the game they were unable to play. Screenshots were shown on PC Gamer showing the forums in which hackers were posting frivolously how quickly they were banned after using any type of hack.
Kudos to Blizzard for knocking down the unethical players of the game and taking a stand against them. Overwatch has been taking the gaming world by storm since it’s beta testing with its list of quirky characters, eccentric art style and overall playabilty making it one of the most cohesive and (dare we say) addicting games on the market. Overwatch is available for play on PC, PS4 and Xbox One.
