Book vs. Movie is a question I ask a lot of people. Not everyone is aware that the new blockbuster was in fact, a book.
Being an avid reader if a movie is based on a book, you can guarantee that I will read the book first and enjoy it more than the film. Why? I think you get a better feeling about the characters and the environment.
I love nothing more than to delve into another world, to forget about worries, a means of escape. So it grates on me when a film misses key elements and destroys the integrity of the book I enjoyed so much.
Hunger Games Trilogy- Suzanne Collins
I came across these by accident, and what a happy accident that turned out to be! The books are amazing. Action, adventure, and love, what more can you ask for?
I was actually excited about the movies, to see how they brought the post-apocalyptic world to life and live up to my imagination. I wasn’t disappointed. my only gripe was that no explanation was included about certain things, which can cause confusion.
Overall the films were enjoyable and earned the rights to a play in my forever collection. But, I still prefer the books and suggest people should give them a go.
Book Vs Movie – Books but only by an inch.
Divergent Trilogy – Veronica Roth
Whilst still in the mood for Dystopian Fantasies, this was recommended these books to me. Straight away I was hooked and was greatly saddened when I finished. So it earned its place on my bulging bookcase to be read again, and it was several times.
The movies are in fact good, but not fantastic. This is mainly due to the fact that it was scrapped after Allegiant (which was part 1 of 2) and I didn’t get the closure needed to be satisfied.
Book Vs Movie – Books by a landslide.
Twilight Saga – Stephenie Meyer
Stephenie Meyer put a whole new spin on Vampires, sparkles and all. Gone are the day when vampires would burst into flames when in daylight, have no reflection and mind control. Today’s vampires are super fast, super strong, have skin like granite and GORGEOUS! The books are alluring and enjoyable, I’ve read them a bunch of times.
What can I say about the movies? Overall, some of the characters could have been played differently but other than that, Great Movies!
Book vs Movie – Movies, yes that shocked me too.
These are just a few from my extremely long list. I could write about this forever.
