Video games and horror are a perfect mixture. Both provide an immersive experience that sucks you into the surrounding environments and when a big scare happens, it often jolts your system and keeps you wanting more. Add in a survival element and the tension goes up tenfold and everything becomes more exciting.
Good news for fans of both genres, brand new gaming studio Madmind is developing an original first-person survival horror game as its very first release simply titled, Agony.
Set to be released on PS4, XBox One, and PC in 2017, the player is thrust into the role of someone who suddenly wakes up in hell and doesn’t remember their past at all. The player however is able to control and manipulate demons as they go along the journey and find out that the only exit out of hell is through the Red Goddess.
Further information about the game is scarce aside from the screenshots and trailer above, but what is known is that it’s powered by Unreal Engine 4 and they have top people working on this game. Developers from such titles as The Witcher 3, The Division, Alien Rage, Enemy Front, and Sniper: Ghost Warrior 2 have all lent a hand in developing the upcoming game.
