The Call of Duty franchise is one that started off strong with the popularity of the Modern Warfare series as well as World at War but gradually declined in gamer satisfaction as each annual title began to fade into monotony and a seemingly lack of care for what fans want.
Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare is allegedly the title of the upcoming game in the franchise from Activision and will reportedly come equipped with a remastered version of Call of Duty’s Modern Warfare. There have been rumors of this circulating since last year’s Black Ops III release and if the pre-order card posted on Reddit is anything to go by, it looks like the rumor might be true after all.
According to the pre-order card, the anticipated release date is Novemeber 4th, 2016 – so perfect timing with the holiday season for the rumored title.
The game itself has not been officially recognized by either Infinity Ward or Activision but a listing of it has shown up in the Playstation Store for Sony, as DHTG has previously reported. With E3 around the corner, developers and publishers alike are filtering news as they prepare some big announcements. Perhaps this leak will even spur an official acknowledgement from the developers. With the announcement that Activision will not be taking center stage at this year’s conference, any news linked to the Call of Duty franchise will be debuted during Sony’s booth.
