Looks like Sprint is thinking outside the marketing box. Who can forget the Verizon “can you hear me now?” guy? We looked at his face and glasses for almost a decade showcasing the solidity of the Verizon network. In a recent commercial ad lineup from the national carrier (blatantly named) “Paul Switched” you can see that ‘Paul’ is now sporting those yellow colors and letting you know that he has made the jump like millions of others have to Sprint.
“Hey, I’m Paul, and I used to ask `If you could hear me now with Verizon?’ Not anymore.”
In the video he even calls out his former employer by name letting people know that “all major carriers are great” and “Sprint is now within 1% of Verizon’s network“.
With carriers taking off the gloves to pull in customers it seems like nothing is below the belt. What do you think? Is all fair in love and war or was this a little too much from marketing? Let us know in the comments below.
