Iron Fist is in action in these new set photos from Marvel’s The Defenders
Netflix’s new superhero team-up series, The Defenders, won’t be available to binge until this summer, but that won’t stop the streaming conglomerate from teasing the hell out of the show until it’s available.
In some new images (like the one seen above) we get to see Iron Fist/Danny Rand in action. We also see Jessica Jones talking to Trish Walker, and finally, we get to see our first look at Sigourney Weaver as the show’s villain, Alexandra.
Executive producer Marco Ramirez had this to say about the upcoming series from Netflix:
“I can’t describe too much, but I can say that we knew it had to be something big. We knew it would take something massive to pull these four characters from their individual worlds to work together, but also small enough that it felt like it existed in our world. It needed to be a crisis that brought these people together, but it still needed to be a very street-level crisis. That’s the world we’re dealing with, so it couldn’t be anything too sci-fi or too supernatural or big. That’s the stuff of the movies.”
The Defenders is a team-up show based around the Netflix Marvel heroes. It features Daredevil (Charlie Cox), Mike Coulter (Luke Cage), Jessica Jones (Kristen Ritter), and Iron Fist (Finn Jones). The 8-episode show will also feature other characters from each individual hero’s show.
We have no official release date for the show. All we know is it’s slated to release during the summer of 2017 on Netflix.
What do you guys think of the new photos? Will you be watching the series on Netflix? We’d love to hear your thoughts, so join in on the conversation in the comments below!
