The Flash is in some trouble in the DC Extended Universe. Set to finally have his own solo film, production has already been through two different directors. Seth Grahame-Smith was to direct based off his script, but left over creative differences. Rick Famuyiwa then came on, but left for the same reason later on. Now with the script going under a whole rewrite and no director, things appear to have slowed down for Barry Allen.
If what Screen Junkie News reported comes true, The Flash is gonna have a pretty big name behind it very soon. Robert Zemeckis, director of Back to the Future, Who Framed Roger Rabbit, and Forrest Gump is reportedly in talks at Warner Bros. to direct The Flash. We haven’t heard much news about the director search for the project as of late, but a name like Zemeckis would certainly overshadow the rest given his pedigree and of course the number of memorable films and projects he’s helped produce.

Again, nothing it fully confirmed right now and we will update you when more does come out about this story, but things might be look up for the Crimson Comet.
What is your reaction to this? Do you want Zemeckis to helm the movie? Who would you want to direct The Flash? Let us know in the comments below!
