Ever since the rise of The Flash and Legends of Tomorrow and addition of Supergirl after Arrow, a yearly tradition recently has been a crossover. First two years were a Flash and Arrow effort, also helping to setup Legends, and last year featured all four shows. This year’s offering will feature all four shows again, but it won’t go through the week like last time.
The CW has announced the DC superhero crossover event will happen on two nights now rather than running through the week like last year. Night one will begin on Monday, November 27 with Supergirl followed by Arrow, which will not air in its usual Thursday timeslot that week. It will conclude on Tuesday, November 28 with The Flash and Legends of Tomorrow remaining in their regular times.
Executive producer across all shows Andrew Kreisberg said earlier this year that he really wants all four shows involved with the crossover this time. While Invasion! did feature Supergirl, her show merely only had it as an epilogue for their winter finale before heading into the full story.
Right now at the moment it looks as if Black Lightning will be nowhere near the action as The CW is keeping that upcoming project in its own little bubble.
Details for the crossover are being kept secret at the moment, but CW boss Mark Pedowitz did say that “romance is in the air.” He further added, “What’s the joy of having the third Avengers? It’s the fun of having everybody get together, that’s the fun of it. You get to see a whole different thing. They’re all big episodic productions, but this will be even bigger.”
Well that should lead to some very interesting character interactions. We might even see some of Tyler Hoechlin as Superman joining in on the fun.
