It’s been nearly six years since CD Projekt Red announced a new triple-A RPG game called Cyberpunk 2077 at their Summer Conference in Warsaw, Poland. It’s also been about four years since the official Cyberpunk 2077 Twitter account has said anything. Well, it finally said something and it has gamers on their toes…

CD Projekt Red is best known for their very popular Witcher series and has promised that Cyberpunk 2077 will bring the same kind of excitement and adventures to gamers that the Witcher series has done and that it will be geared towards the serious gamer. Based on the 1988 pen and paper RPG, this will be the video game to bring Cyberpunk to modern times. Mike Pondsmith, the creator, has been working with CD Projekt Red in order to make sure it’s just as consistent and exciting for video gamers as it is for the pen and paper gamers.
The teaser trailer is simply amazing and so full of hints here and there about game characters and even towards the storyline, I personally cannot wait until the game comes alive and is ready to play. CD Projekt Red definitely has challenged gamers in the past and pushed the envelope before. I honestly do hope they keep their promise to release the game when it’s ready and not be such a stickler towards a deadline, unlike what some game developers have done in the past. Do you think this is an ambitious move for a classic pen and paper game?
