The Dead Rising movie sequel, Dead Rising: Endgame, finally lands an official release date announced by Crackle. Endgame is a sequel to the Dead Rising: Watchtower movie – which came out in March of 2015 – and is expected to drop June 20th on the movie-streaming app.
The movie’s basis centers around a zombie-infested zone of East Mission City where the movie’s star, Chase Carter, has to fight his way to uncover government conspiracies while fighting to stay alive against a horde of zombies. Continuum director Pat Williams is taking the lead on the sequel alongside Mortal Kombat: Legacy’s Tim Carter and Terminator Salvation’s Michael Ferris as the film’s writers.
The picture above is the first official sneak peek at a few of the characters that will be appearing in the movie. Jesse Metcalf (Desperate Housewives) will be playing reporter Chase Carter. Patrick Sabongui (The Flash), Marie Avegeropoulos (The 100), and Ian Tracey (Man of Steel) are all active cast members in the sequel, as well. They are definitely staying true to their gaming audience with character descriptions such as Subongui playing the “skilled zombie killer and video game aficionado”.
The movie is currently in production; filming is based in Vancouver, Canada. Other actors added on the roster are Billy Zane (Titanic) and Dennis Haysbert (24). Keep an eye out for this horror gem when it releases June 20th, 2016 on Crackle.
