The Nintendo Switch

When Nintendo debuted the video for their new console, the Nintendo Switch, gamers everywhere wanted more. What is the price going to be? When will it be released? What is the launch-day game lineup going to look like? Nintendo promised these answers in due time, now we know when that will be. Nintendo has announced when their Nintendo Switch live stream will take place. On January 12th, 2017 at 8 PM Pacific/ 11 PM Eastern Nintendo will be answering questions about the launch of the Switch. There’s no indication on how long the show will be. If you haven’t seen the trailer for the new console, it looks pretty spectacular. Check it out below!

Nintendo’s President,┬áTatsumi Kimishima, has also announced that there will be sampling events all over the world after the live stream. The live stream itself will detail the launch date, price, and hopefully the launch-day game lineup. While the details on the new console have been vague, Nintendo has had this to say about it:

The Nintendo Switch

“The Switch from Nintendo combines the mobility of a handheld with the power of a home gaming system to enable new video game play styles. It will be available in March 2017.”

We already know that The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild won’t be available at launch for the Switch, but there’s speculation that we could be seeing a new Super Mario game and a remastered Splatoon.

What games would you like to see announced as launch day titles for the Nintendo Switch? Are you bummed that Breath of the Wild won’t be a launch day title? Do you think the Switch is going to be enough to put Nintendo back on top of the gaming industry? I’d love to hear your thoughts, so jump into the conversation in the comments section below and tell us what you think!
