Deus Ex: Mankind Divided just got a brand new trailer that is a whopping six minutes long. In the video (shown above), cyborg security specialist Adam Jensen goes into grizzly detail about the premise of the latest Eidos Montreal’s science fiction experience: Mankind Divided.
The visually gut-wrenching inside look at the newest title throws the audience into the year 2029, a violent and totalitarianistic future riddled with persecution and the execution of people that are augmented with cyber-technology. During Jensen’s crusade against terrorism, he stumbles into a conspiracy that shows just how far the rabbit hole goes with cybernetics and the people behind them.
The trailer itself is visually stunning with an expertly intricate futuristic tone that adds to the realism and severity of the storyline. Jensen wrestles with his place in the world as well as his struggle to maintain his own identity as he delves into his own past and what the future holds.
This inside look at Mankind Divided emphasizes the stealth aspects of the game as well as the moral spectrum that bleeds to grey more often than not. “Out of my two choices, I will choose the lesser of the two evils. I will come with you,” a powerful statement that sums up what we can expect with the latest Deus Ex title.
With the upcoming release of Deus Ex: Mankind Divided comes a few new improvements that players will see since the last title, Human Revolution. Explosive nanoblades, customization, and new and improved exo-skeleton shields are just a few of the modifications made to improve game-play.
Deus Ex: Mankind Divided is expected to drop August 23rd for the Xbox One, Playsation 4, and PC. You can also catch the collector’s edition below:
